“lange beine” (engl. “long legs”) and “achselhöhle” (german word for armpit, but has the word cave in it) are projects that were created by the Feminist Work Group in Pforzheim and presented alongside a fashion show event of the collective cxd addressing patriarchal hierarchies and the male gaze.

long legs - is a installation that invites participants to challenge the beauty ideal of long legs often associated with female-perceived bodies, which are often sexualised and objectified.

Guests were invited to take photos of their legs, which were then combined with others to form surreal, exaggerated „long legs.“

achselhöhle - for this installation we collected pictures of armpits of FLINTA people. Armpits of FLINTA are often percieved as something “disgusting” especially combined woth body hair.

Through this playful but critical process, we aimed to dismantle rigid beauty standards and invite reflection on how bodies are viewed and valued.
