This brooch is a tribute to my brother’s and my childhood. We used to go looking for newts together, and I wanted to create a piece of jewelry that symbolizes our bond. It is made of copper and is electroplated with silver. The eyes are tourmalines. The metal sheet was both guilloché-engraved and hand-engraved, then chased into shape.
